Welcome to my brand new page, made for the incredibly specific purpose of replacing the old one. 


So here's the boring stuff: I'm Makenna. I go to RCS as a sophomore.  My favorite subjects are Bio & Art.  I have a dalmatian & two lovebirds.  I also have two older sisters, Cami & Danielle. 

Here's the good stuff:

 Art.  I LOVE art.  I like using paint more than any other mediums, but I love looking at sculptures, pastels, & charcoal.  My favorite artists are Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, & Paul Klee.  Mainly a lot of modern stuff and surrealism.  I'm not super into the abstract stuff, but hey, to each his own.  The Indian Art class I took last year totally gave me a new outlook on life, and now I have a new appreciation for art.

 I love music.  I play a beautiful red Ibanez Destroyer (or DT200CA if you wanna get technical), & also the piano.  Mostly, I like listening to music.  I'll listen to a lot of stuff, mostly rock, but I can't stand country and some rap.  My favorite bands are groups like Death Cab, Weezer, Hot Hot Heat, Imogen Heap, Panic! At the Disco, No Doubt, & the Goo Goo Dolls.  But I'm also totally into the oldies, like the Beatles, David Bowie, Harry Chapin, Blondie, Aerosmith, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin....stuff like that.

My favorite tv shows are Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, and the Simpsons.  I like a lot of movies.  The Hours and White Oleander are two of my favorites.  My favorite actors are Patrick Fugit and George Clooney, and my favorite actresses are Meryl Streep, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and Alison Lohman.  Danielle has gotten me to watch a ton of indie movies which I end up really liking.  Thank You For Smoking, Junebug, and Transamerica are all uber good.

I guess I actually like school.  Yes, call me a nerd if you must.  But aside from the homework and stuff, it's really not that bad.  I like my classes and have some pretty nifty teachers, some of which seem like friends.  That's what I like about a small school.  Actually, that's the ONLY thing I like about the size.  It's funny, as small as the population of it is, it still seems SO crowded....we definitely need more space. 

But I love my friends.  That is the best part about school.  Period. 
Friends = school not being lame.  End of story.
